Welcome to CitiMEMO. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of citimemo.com and all related services (the “Platform”). By accessing or using CitiMEMO, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Purpose of CitiMEMO

CitiMEMO is a public social network designed to advance citizen participation, leadership accountability and community growth through structured civic engagement. Content shared on CitiMEMO is intended for public access, information and education only.

2. Public Nature of Content

  • All content submitted or displayed on CitiMEMO is public and non-confidential.
  • Users should not post private or sensitive information.
  • CitiMEMO assumes no responsibility for the use of information you voluntarily make public.

3. Accounts and Authentication

  • Users may register or log in using services such as Google Connect.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • CitiMEMO may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Community and Leadership Profiles

  • Profiles created by or for any leader or community are public accounts managed by CitiMEMO.
  • These accounts are the property of CitiMEMO and may be updated, managed, or retained indefinitely for public interest purposes.
  • Such profiles do not belong to the creator or manager of the profile.

4A. Management of Leader and Community Profiles

  1. Each leader’s profile is managed by an assigned Media Manager.
  2. Each community channel is primarily managed by a Community Social Administrator.
  3. These roles are voluntary engagements aimed at supporting transparency and civic participation.
  4. Media Managers and Community Social Administrators must follow all CitiMEMO rules of engagement and community guidelines.
  5. Violations may result in penalties, including:
  • Temporary suspension,
  • Permanent disengagement, or
  • Reassignment of management responsibilities.
  • CitiMEMO reserves the right to take such actions at its discretion to maintain integrity and order on the Platform.

5. User-Generated Content

Users retain ownership of their own posts, comments, and submissions. By posting on CitiMEMO, you grant CitiMEMO a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. CitiMEMO reserves the right to remove, edit, or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using CitiMEMO, you agree not to:

  • Post false, defamatory, or misleading information.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others.
  • Share private, personal, or sensitive data (your own or others’).
  • Impersonate any person, leader, or community.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Platform.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

  • CitiMEMO may, at its discretion, review, moderate, or remove content that violates these Terms.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or severe violations.
  • Moderation decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

8. Accuracy of Information

  • CitiMEMO is a platform for public exchange of information.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-submitted content.
  • Users are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.

9. Service Availability

CitiMEMO strives to maintain reliable access but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features or the Platform at any time without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

CitiMEMO is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, reputation, or opportunities. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CitiMEMO, its affiliates, and staff from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States of America, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

CitiMEMO may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
