Peter Mbah Investments Limited (founded in ~1992) — This was one of his earliest business ventures. It provided services in the oil & gas sector. 

GILPEL Industries Ltd. — A company involved in importation of general goods (e.g. consumer/electrical appliances) around 1993–1997. 

FOCUS International Schools — Founded in Lagos; in the educational sector. 

Pinnacle Oil & Gas Ltd. — His major energy business. Some of its key accomplishments include development of off-shore petroleum product intake/off-take /storage facilities, including SPM (Single Point Monitoring), Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM), storage in Lekki Free Trade Zone as of 2021. 

He has also been sole agent for the International Oil Corporation (USA) in Nigeria.

Leadership Profile:

He first entered public service as Chief of Staff in Enugu State under Governor Chimaroke Nnamani (around 2003). 

Then he served as Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development in Enugu State. In that role, among other responsibilities, he was involved with fiscal management, revenue, allocation, setting policy. 

During his tenure in those roles, he also held appointments on several boards:

• Member of the Enugu State Executive Council and State Security Council. 

• Chairman, Enugu State Tenders’ Board 

• Chairman, Board of Directors for Enugu State Insurance Company

ACHIEVEMENTS
Achievements:

Education

Launched the Smart Green Schools initiative: building 260 technologically-driven schools, one in each electoral ward, with digital whiteboards, ICT labs, solar power, etc. 

Allocated a large share of the state budget to education (~30-33%) which is well above UNESCO’s 15-20% benchmark. 

Water & basic utilities

Fulfilled promise to improve potable water supply: revived the Ninth Mile Water Scheme (from 2 million litres/day to ~70 million litres/day), plus the Oji River scheme (~50 million litres/day). 

Installed water galleries and public taps in areas not yet connected to pipelines. 

Infrastructure / Urban Renewal

Many road rehabilitation and construction of key roads (dual carriageways, major connectors) including Abakpa-Opi-Nsukka, Enugu-Airport to Ebonyi border road, Owo-Amankanu-Ikem, etc.

Creation of modern transport terminals/terminals:

Holy Ghost, Gariki, Abakpa, Nsukka, etc. 

Revenue / Economy / Governance

Big jump in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR): from ~₦37.4 billion in 2023 to a projected ₦144.7 billion by end of 2024. 

Reforms like digitization, unified tax regimes, electronic tax filing, streamlined land registry via geographic information services (ENGIS) to reduce delays in getting property titles. 

- Executive orders pushing for transparency / service-delivery standards (e.g. MDAs required to publish service-level agreements) have been introduced. 

Healthcare

Plan to build 260 Type-2 primary healthcare centres across all wards, plus staff quarters, etc. 

Upgrading/enhancing medical education (nursing college) and hospitals. 

Security

Improved security environment: reduced impact of enforced sit-at-home (by IPOB) orders; better policing, more logistical support, command & control centers; cameras and rapid response vehicles. 

Civic stability has risen, enabling more normal economic activity.
